Big Hearts: Meet John & Nalini

Behind every successful community initiative is a team driven by unwavering dedication and a heart for service. For our projects in Narsapur, that driving force is the husband-and-wife duo, John and Nalini. They are pictured here with their son David and their daughter Angel is away studying to be a dietitian.
Their Story John took over leadership in 2008 following the passing of his father. Since then, he and Nalini have managed a wide range of vital programs, including feeding centres, medical camps, and an emergency ambulance service.
They are a hands-on team heavily involved in daily operations. John balances high-level project management with active, on-the-ground work. Nalini works right alongside him, managing the community centres, overseeing meal quality control, and handling a significant portion of the organisational workload.
John’s commitment extends far beyond a traditional desk role. If an ambulance driver is unavailable, John gets behind the wheel himself.
"Whenever a driver isn't available, I have taken on hundreds of cases. I step in to participate as a driver myself."
This service is a lifeline for the region, rushing accident victims to critical care and supplying vital oxygen during emergencies.
John and Nalini continue to actively advocate for the most vulnerable members of their community. For them, this is a lifelong calling. As John puts it:
"Personally, I believe that if we help the poor by serving, God will take care of the rest... It is my ultimate goal to help those in need."
We are incredibly grateful for their selfless leadership and their ongoing dedication to transforming lives.
